Courthouse Mediation Procedures

Follow these court-specific steps when conducting an in-person mediation at Wrentham District Court.

Step 1

Pre-Mediation

When you arrive, check in at the Clerk’s Office on the second floor. Court staff will help you identify an available room for the mediation.

Step 2

During Mediation

The clerk’s assistant will let the parties know that the mediators have arrived.

After the case list has been called, the parties will be directed to meet the mediators in the hallway. Bring the parties to the previously identified mediation room.

Step 3

Post-Mediation

Ask court staff to make copies of the completed forms. Provide the parties with the applicable copies and retain a copy of all paperwork for MWI’s records.

  • If the case settles, return the case file and original paperwork to the clerk.
  • If the case does not settle, return the file to the Clerk Magistrate or judge and ask the parties to return to the courtroom.

Add the case information and upload the paperwork under the court case in the portal. If you have trouble uploading the documents or mediated multiple cases during the same session, email the scans to courtmediation@mwi.org.
