Confidentiality is an essential component of ombuds work, and this is just one more way MWI demonstrates our commitment to data privacy and security for our ombuds clients.

SOC 2 (Systems and Organizations Controls 2) compliance is a set of security and privacy standards designated by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that apply to MWI’s infrastructure, people, processes, and technology. These standards or “controls” are tested via an ongoing rigorous auditing process and protect against unauthorized access, data theft, and other security incidents.

What does this mean for our clients?

  • Trust and Security: Achieving SOC 2 Type 2 compliance demonstrates that the ombuds program has robust controls in place to protect sensitive information, minimizing the risk of data breaches and unauthorized access while providing assurance that concerns will be handled securely and confidentially.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Many organizations face regulatory requirements regarding data privacy and security. SOC 2 Type 2 compliance aligns MWI’s ombuds program with these regulations, making MWI’s ombuds program an easy choice when selecting an ombuds provider.
  •  Accountability and Continuous Improvement: The SOC 2 Type 2 involves regular audits and assessments, which promote accountability within the ombuds program. It also encourages ongoing evaluation and improvement of our processes, which ensures MWI is not just up to date, but a step ahead of the ever-changing data security landscape.

In summary, SOC 2 Type 2 compliance reinforces the integrity, security, and effectiveness of our ombuds program, instilling the trust that is needed for our clients to get the most from this valuable resource.
