Mediation Information for Outlook EAP
Members of Outlook EAP are entitled to discounted mediation services and training through MWI. These services are designed to help HR, ER, employees, and other interested parties resolve conflict effectively and productively and increase their capacity to resolve disputes through training.
Mediation
Mediation is a process in which parties agree to work together, with the assistance of a trained neutral, to explore their respective interests and generate options for resolving their dispute. The mediator helps to facilitate communication and has no power to impose a resolution. Mediation is a flexible process that allows the parties to discuss, in confidence, any issues they choose to address and determine the outcome.

Workplace & Employment Mediation
What do members get at no cost?
- 30-minute initial consultation with a case manager from MWI and/or the mediator so the member can have questions answered and learn more about mediation.
- Ongoing support from the MWI case manager, throughout the case.
- Mediation services for employment disputes, including employee v employee as well as employee v employer.
What do members get at a discount? Outlook EAP members receive a 15% discount on mediation services.
Divorce and Family Mediation
What do members get at no cost?
- 30-minute initial consultation so both parties get their questions answered and learn more about how divorce mediation can help.
- Mediation services for divorce and family cases, including no-fault divorce, paternity, child support, parent/child, parenting time, post-divorce, and other family matters.
What do members get at a discount? Outlook EAP members receive a 15% discount off MWI’s hourly rate.
Training
As part of the Benefit with Outlook EAP, members receive a 5% discount off mediation training to MWI’s open enrollment mediation training program as well as discounted customized mediation training for groups of 24 or more.
