About Nnena

Nnena Odim is a mediator, Organizational Ombuds, attorney, trainer, and consultant with extensive experience helping people address complex disputes constructively.

She has been mediating since 1997, working with disputes involving employment, housing, business, consumer matters, academic and higher education concerns, and the full range of family and domestic relations matters.

Nnena is trained by the International Ombuds Association and has served as an ombuds for CVS, the American Planning Association, and several local construction companies.

Approach

Nnena brings a practical, compassionate, and deeply experienced approach to conflict resolution, helping people clarify concerns, understand options, and move through difficult situations with greater confidence.

Her work is grounded in decades of mediation, legal practice, teaching, and community-based conflict resolution.

She helps individuals and organizations address sensitive issues thoughtfully while supporting effective communication, ethical decision-making, and constructive problem-solving.

Background

After 25 years, Nnena recently retired from Harvard Law School, where she served as Director and Senior Clinical Instructor of the Family/Domestic Violence Law Clinic at Harvard’s Legal Services Center.

In addition to practicing in Massachusetts Family and Probate Courts, she provided experiential training to law students and taught them how to become effective and ethical attorneys.

Nnena has worked with the Harvard Mediation Program and Harvard Program on Negotiation to provide trainings for students and community members and to supervise Harvard Law School students in mediation and negotiation studies.

She has also served as a faculty member and mediation skills coach for trainings at Suffolk University Law School, Boston College Law School, MIT, and New England Law.
