Negotiation Workshop Referral Program

MWI’s Negotiation Workshop Referral Program provides benefits including compensation and/or opportunities to serve as a paid negotiation trainer to individuals who refer new clients to MWI (“Referral Agents”). The goal of the program is to encourage individuals to bring new clients to MWI and to compensate them accordingly. MWI offers this program in an effort to build a collegial community and to enable private practitioners an opportunity to operate under an established organizational “umbrella.”  Our ultimate goal remains to consistently provide the best possible services to our clients.

In general, Referral Agents include MWI’s trainers, mediators, and colleagues. To prevent conflicts of interest, Referral Agents are not eligible for these benefits if they work for or sit on the board of the company they introduce us to (though we still encourage those referrals and are willing to discuss other mutually beneficial solutions).

Benefits to Referral Agents

Referral Agents will have the following choices and opportunities upon introducing MWI to a client MWI has not previously been involved with.

  • Option 1 – Referral fee plus opportunity to serve as trainer
    • 5% of net revenue for any work performed by MWI under contract for the first year, including the right of first refusal for any training work to be done with that client (contingent upon MWI’s assessment of competency) throughout the term of the client engagement.
    • Option to participate MWI’s Open-Enrollment Negotiation Skills Workshop at 50% off.
  •  Option 2 – Referral fee only
    • 10% of net revenue for any work performed by MWI under contract for the first year.
    • Option to participate MWI’s Open-Enrollment Negotiation Skills Workshop at 50% off.
  • Option 3 – Other mutually beneficial options.  Please contact Chuck Doran to discuss.

If you have an idea for a potential referral, send an email to Chuck Doran at cdoran@mwi.org describing the type of client you plan to refer (e.g., corporate, non-profit, etc…), their industry (financial, pharmaceutical, etc…) and the services they are seeking (e.g, negotiation training, coaching, consulting, etc…).
