Courthouse Mediation Procedures

Follow these court-specific steps when conducting an in-person mediation at West Roxbury Municipal Court.

Step 1

Pre-Mediation

When you arrive, check in at the Clerk’s Office, which is located down the hallway directly across from security. Let court staff know that you are present and ready to mediate.

Multiple mediation rooms are available. Ask the clerk for assistance locating an available room if needed.

Step 2

During Mediation

The clerk will tell you which courtroom requires mediation assistance.

When entering the courtroom, introduce yourself to the assistant clerk seated in the judge’s box. The assistant clerk will determine whether parties are already available and will refer additional cases during the call of the list.

Step 3

Post-Mediation

After the mediation, whether or not a settlement was reached, bring the case file to the Clerk’s Office and request copies of each completed document.

After receiving the copies, return the case file to Courtroom One and give it to the assistant clerk who referred the case.

Add the case information and upload the paperwork under the court case in the portal. If you have trouble uploading the documents or mediated multiple cases during the same session, email the scans to courtmediation@mwi.org.
