Chuck is the Founder and Executive Director of MWI, a dispute resolution service and training firm in Boston. Responsible for all financial planning and management, business development and execution, marketing campaigns, for over 200 hundred mediators, trainers, staff and interns; Sets and oversees the implementation of MWI’s vision, mission, as well as current and long-term organizational goals and objectives.
Title: Director of Ombuds & Mediation Services
Josh Hoch is MWI’s Director of Ombuds and Mediation Services. He is an experienced ombuds, mediator, instructor, and mentor committed to supporting individuals and organizations through effective conflict resolution. Josh oversees MWI’s Organizational Ombuds Panel, Conference Ombuds Program, and Mediation Panels for contracted clients. He has been a member of the MWI team since June 2001. Title: Director of Strategic Engagement
Dana Hinojosa is MWI’s Director of Strategic Engagement. She is a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP), an active workshop facilitator, and a guest lecturer on topics related to conflict management and the role of an organizational ombuds. Dana works with MWI’s ombuds clients to assess what outcomes are important to them, oversee verifiable data management protocols, and create reports designed to illuminate areas of opportunity for clients seeking to foster a thriving culture.
In previous roles, Dana has helped multiple ombuds programs more strategically capture and present data in a way that accurately portrays the value of ombuds work and provides meaningful insight to guide leadership action when addressing areas of concern. Additionally, Dana has worked for over a decade in conflict management and employee engagement. Before joining MWI, she was an ombuds for the University of California, Davis Campus and Medical Center, and was the Assistant Director of Learning and Engagement in Human Resources at Pepperdine University. She is a mediator and trainer with extensive international experience living and working throughout Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Dana holds a Master’s Degree in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law’s Straus Institute. She is a member of the International Ombuds Association and sits on the board of the California Caucus of College and University Ombuds.

Title: Senior Manager of Ombuds Program Success.
Vik Kapoor is MWI’s Senior Manager of Ombuds Program Success. He is an attorney and certified coach by background, as well as a mediator, facilitator, speaker, trainer, author, and ombuds.
Before coming to MWI, Vik was a Consultant Ombuds serving five agencies of the United Nations (UNDP, UNWOMEN, UNICEF, UNOPS, and UNFPA), where he engaged in missions to Kenya, Turkey, India, and Nepal. He was also previously an organizational ombuds within the US Department of Homeland Security (serving FEMA), and for the Department of the Interior (serving USGS, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and others), and taught alternative dispute resolution as an adjunct at Howard University School of Law. Vik wrote a bestselling book on self-coaching, called First Serve Yourself, which won a Living Now medal in a leadership category. Vik has a JD from Georgetown and a BA from UCLA, as well as advanced training in Return on Investment from the ROI Institute, positive psychology from the Flourishing Center, and trauma recovery from Harvard.

Title: Mediation Program Manager
Clarice Parsons, J.D., is a mediator and Mediation Program Manager at MWI. She oversees the Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs for MWI’s corporate clients including General Motors, BMW of North America, and 7-Eleven. Clarice also supports MWI’s panel of 100+ volunteer neutrals who facilitate pre-trial mediations in 14 of Greater Boston’s District and Municipal Courts. As a neutral, Clarice mediates small claims, eviction, and civil cases for Massachusetts Trial Courts. She also supports MWI’s training and mentor programs.
Before joining MWI, Clarice worked for several years as a paralegal and law firm manager. She earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Legal Studies and Political Science from Suffolk University and a Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law.
Title: Director of Communications and Development
Elizabeth “Liz” Hill is MWI’s Director of Communications and Development. A Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP®), Liz brings over 20 years of experience as an ombuds, mediator, and attorney in higher education, government, and corporate settings. At MWI, she leads strategic communications and outreach efforts to elevate the organization’s visibility, expand referral pipelines, and build meaningful partnerships, with a focus on supporting MWI’s growing ombuds practice.
Before joining MWI, Liz served as Associate Director of the Ombuds Office at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she worked with faculty, staff, and students to surface concerns, navigate complex challenges, and promote constructive and inclusive dialogue. Her prior experience also includes ombuds and legal roles with Apollo Education Group, the Arizona Ombudsman-Citizens’ Aide, and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.
Liz is incoming Chair of the American Bar Association’s Section of Dispute Resolution and is co-editor of Ombuzz, a blog offering tips and strategies for navigating sticky workplace situations, improving communication, and fostering healthy professional relationships. She is a frequent speaker on conflict resolution, team dynamics, and the human impact of early conflict engagement. Liz earned her JD from Gonzaga University School of Law and lives in Boulder, Colorado.
Title: Ombuds Program Manager
Elise Ramos is a mediator, ombuds, and Program Manager at MWI. She oversees different projects and teams, develops training material for organizations, and conducts organizational climate surveys and reports for different clients. Elise holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Utrecht University in the Netherlands and a Master’s degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University. In 2020, Elise earned certifications in mediation and cross-cultural negotiation from ESSEC Business School in Paris. In 2022, she completed MWI’s advanced mediation training, became a member of the International Ombuds Association, and completed IOA’s ombuds training, Foundations of the Organizational Ombuds course. In the past, Elise worked designing participatory action research workshops to guide social transformation in conflict-prone settings. She is fluent and comfortable working in English, Spanish, and Dutch.
Title: Program Coordinator
Zoe Doran (she/her/hers) is a Program Coordinator at MWI. Zoe works with MWI’s internal team to support the operations of the ombuds program, develop client materials, and assist with data analysis and sharing. Zoe holds a bachelor’s degree in Environment from McGill University.

Bio
Joe Bubman is a senior negotiation and conflict resolution practitioner and the Director of Negotiation Programs at MWI. He has helped leading companies across a range of industries — including pharma, technology, financial services, oil and gas, and entertainment — to strengthen internal negotiation competencies and manage external relationships with partners. Joe has worked globally for clients such as 3M, Boston Scientific, Dell, Deloitte, IBM, MedImmune, Merck, Novartis, Procter & Gamble, Royal Bank of Canada, Shell, Southern California Edison, The Walt Disney Company, and Xerox. Joe has conducted negotiation and collaboration skills workshops for corporate clients in North America, South America, Europe, and Australia. Previously, Joe served as Mercy Corps’ Acting Director of the Peace and Conflict team and, prior to that, as a Senior Peacebuilding Advisor, helping develop and implement conflict management programs in Guatemala, Iraq, Mali, Myanmar, South Sudan, and Syria. He led the development of the Negotiating for Humanitarian Access Playbook for the humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding communities. He is a co-recipient of the 2020 Melanie Greenberg U.S. Peacebuilding Award of Excellence and was identified by Time Magazine in 2020 as one of “27 People Bridging Divides Across America.”

Title: Operations Manager
Lisa Dowell is MWI’s Operations Manager. As Operations Manager, Lisa manages MWI’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. She performs daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.

Title: Program Coordinator
Alice Tracey holds a B.A. in Conflict Studies (Honors) and is currently enrolled in the M.A. program in Conflict Studies at Saint Paul University, where she focuses on theories of conflict, mediation, and peacebuilding strategies. Her passion for Appropriate Dispute Resolution (ADR) developed through hands-on experiences assisting in international development projects abroad. She is a trained mediator through MWI and a member of the International Ombuds Association.
At MWI, she serves as a Program Coordinator, playing a key role in supporting and assisting volunteer mediators in MWI’s Court Mediation Program. She ensures smooth case coordination and provides ongoing administrative and logistical support. In addition to managing case flow, she is an active mediator and assists with supporting mediators on the panel, helping to enhance their skills and effectiveness. Through this work, she contributes to an efficient and effective mediation process, allowing mediators to focus on resolving disputes while promoting access to alternative dispute resolution services.
