About Elisa
Elisa Enriquez is a skilled Organizational Ombuds, coach, and facilitator with extensive experience supporting individuals and organizations through conflict, communication challenges, and workplace concerns.
A Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP®), she has served as an Associate Ombuds with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) since 2023 and previously served as Senior Associate Ombuds at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) from 2011 to 2023.
Elisa is known for her warm, compassionate approach and her ability to create an inclusive environment where visitors feel comfortable exploring concerns and identifying constructive options.

Working with individuals across a wide range of professions and disciplines, Elisa is passionate about helping people improve communication, strengthen relationships, and develop greater confidence in addressing conflict.
Her counseling background informs her work as a trauma-informed, person-centered ombuds practitioner who emphasizes empathy, curiosity, and practical problem-solving.
Through coaching and facilitative processes, she helps individuals and teams build trust, navigate challenges productively, and foster healthier workplace interactions.
Background
Elisa is an active member of the International Ombuds Association (IOA) and the Coalition of Federal Ombuds (COFO). She has served on multiple committees, mentors fellow practitioners, and has taught the IOA Foundations of Organizational Ombuds course.
A dynamic trainer and presenter, Elisa facilitates workshops and presentations on topics including stress and resilience, proactive conflict communication, trust-building, and workplace effectiveness.
She earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Elisa is fluent in both English and Spanish.
