Background
Willem has been a member of the International Ombuds Association since 2009 and earned the Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP®) credential in 2011.
He served a four-year elected term on the International Ombuds Association Board of Directors and Executive and Finance Committee from 2018 to 2022.
Prior to becoming an ombuds, Willem spent more than 25 years at Mars Incorporated, where he held leadership roles in Finance, Human Resources, and as a Pension Fund Director based in the Netherlands.
He is now an Emeritus Member of the International Ombuds Association and remains actively engaged in advancing professional ombuds practice worldwide.
