Forms

You will need to complete a Fillable ADR Referral Form, an Agreement to Participate, and, if an agreement is reached, the Mediation Memorandum. If parties are looking for a formal Agreement for Judgment, please see the Civil Clerk’s Office for this form.

Parking

Free parking is available behind the Registry of Deeds, in the designated parking lot.

Pre-Mediation

When entering the building you will need to go through security. The clerk’s office is located directly to the left of the front door. Please check in and say hi to the Dedham team. They will let you know where small claims or summary process is being heard.

Mediation

Please introduce yourself to the session clerk. If possible, sit in a jury box or in the front row of the gallery.

Post-Mediation

After mediation, bring the parties, with or without an agreement, back to the original session and alert the clerk whether the case has settled. If there is an agreement, the judge will review it and speak with the parties about it before signing off on it. Photocopies can then be made in the Civil Clerks Office. Walk up to the counter and ask for copies to be made.
