Outsourced Organizational Ombuds | Mediator | Trainer

Dispute Resolution Experience

Chuck Doran is an experienced outsourced organizational ombuds, mediator, and trainer. Chuck is a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP) and a member of the International Ombuds Association who completed ombuds training with the IOA in 1995. Chuck has served as an outsourced organizational ombuds for companies, universities, and other organizations since 1997. A mediator since 1992, he is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and the CPR Dispute Resolution Panel of Distinguished Neutrals. He has mediated with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), MWI, the Harvard Mediation Program, and the United States Postal Service REDRESS I and REDRESS II Mediation Panels. In addition to his ombuds and mediation work, Chuck works nationally and internationally as a dispute resolution trainer and consultant with corporate, governmental, and non-profit clients including Coca-Cola Enterprises, General Motors, Bose Corporation, and the Harvard Negotiation Project at Harvard Law School. Chuck has served as a teaching assistant on multiple occasions with Professor Roger Fisher at Harvard Law School’s Program of Instruction for Lawyers Negotiation Workshop. In 1993, Chuck completed a Specialization in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution at the Program on Negotiation and chaired two regional ADR Conferences in 1997 and 1999. Chuck served as a member of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Standing Committee on Dispute Resolution and was Chair of the Qualifications Subcommittee. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Advisory Group and is a past president of the Association for Conflict Resolution, New England Chapter. Chuck is also a Distinguished Fellow with the International Academy of Mediators (IAM) and a past president of IAM’s Board of Governors.


Experience and Sample Clients

  • Outsourced Organizational Ombuds:   Completed ombuds training with the International Ombuds Association in 1995 and has served as an outsourced organizational ombuds for corporate, higher-ed, governmental, and non-profit clients since 1997. Also provides support to the ombuds community with consulting services designed to improve, reimagine, and support established and new offices and ombuds.
  • General Motors:  Serves as a national mediator for disputes between Dealers and GM involving audit, incentive programs and fleet sales matters; Designed and led the GM Mediation and Arbitration Training Program which provided training to hundreds of GM Dealer and Corporate Mediators;  Responsible for oversight and design improvements of national mediation and arbitration program managed by MWI for General Motors;
  • BMW of North America:  Mediator for variety of matters involving BMW Motor Cars and Motorcycles. Responsible for oversight and design improvements of national mediation and arbitration program managed by MWI for BMW of North America;
  • USPS and EEOC:   Contract workplace and employment mediator with the United States Postal Service and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission mediating federal discrimination, termination, and other matters relating to the workplace.

Honors, Memberships, and Professional Activities

  • Distinguished Fellow and Executive Committee Board Member (Past President), Board of Governors – The International Academy of Mediators (IAM) (2013 – Present); Recipient of the Presidential Honor Award (2017);
  • Appointed to serve as a member of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Standing Committee on Dispute Resolution and was Chair of the Qualifications Subcommittee (1999-2003);
  • President and Director of the Association for Conflict Resolution, New England Chapter (NE-ACR) (formerly the Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution – SPIDR). Lectures and ADR Trainings Conducted

  • Mediation Trainer. Designed and served as lead trainer for over seventy-five 20 to 40-hour basic and advanced training programs, totaling over 2250 hours since 1994. Mediation training clients include Coca-Cola, Bose Corporation, MWI, Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, and the Harvard Mediation Program at Harvard Law School;
  • Negotiation Instructor and Presenter. Chuck has worked nationally and internationally with top sales, procurement, and delivery professionals to diagnose and resolve negotiation challenges across multiple industries including financial/consulting, healthcare, and high-tech. Served as a negotiation instructor for the internationally attended “Program of Instruction for Lawyers” Negotiation Workshop at Harvard Law School as a teaching assistant to Professor Roger Fisher on multiple occasions.

Dispute Resolution Experience

Robin DiGiammarino brings her experience in local government, health care and small business to her work in the field of conflict management. She has worked with MWI since 2003 serving as a mediator, trainer, facilitator and mentor. A proponent of life long learning, Robin served as a public official on a local school board, providing stewardship for a public education system serving over six thousand students. Robin holds a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and she incorporates her expertise working with clients and her supervisory experience in clinical settings into her work as a coach, trainer and mentor. Since 2007, Robin has provided supervision and coaching to new mediators in the MWI Mentor Program. Robin enjoys mentoring adult learners providing opportunities for mentees to sharpen their mediation skills and reinforce good habits.

Dispute Resolution Experience

Victoria Bennet is a mediator, trainer, facilitator and consultant, providing services throughout New England since 2003. She has mediated a wide range of court-referred, government agency and private disputes, including commercial, employment, contract, tort, foreclosure, family, divorce, juvenile, community and criminal cases. Diana Chiang is a Mediator and Manager of Commercial & Corporate Programs at Mediation Works, Inc. (MWI). As a mediator, Ms. Chiang has mediated a variety of cases in Massachusetts District, Municipal, and Probate & Family Courts, harassment prevention orders, corporate & workplace, and housing/eviction cases.

Diana is also a member of MWI’s training faculty and leads corporate and academic ADR training programs. Diana has a certification in Applied Positive Psychology and is an accredited ACTP Coach through The Flourishing Center and also serves on the Board of Directors of the New England Association for Conflict Resolution.

She earned a B.A. in Sociology & Justice Studies from the University of New Hampshire and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. Diana was an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Hampshire, before teaching negotiation at Suffolk University Law School.

Dispute Resolution Experience

Born in Australia, Andrew Lee is an MWI Senior Negotiation Trainer with over 25 years’ experience in negotiation consulting and dispute resolution. He specializes in high-stakes commercial negotiations, often with an international cross-border element.

For two decades, Andrew operated out of China as a commercial negotiation consultant to multinational companies in sectors including semi-conductor manufacturing, agricultural bio-tech,  e-commerce and Fortune 50 food and beverage. Prior to China, he operated in international arbitration and commercial mediation in the United States, the Netherlands and Australia. He also spent two years in human rights law based in Switzerland.

Andrew’s trainings are based on theories developed at Harvard Law School and MIT Sloan Business School, combined with 25 years of practical experience working with global business and political leaders. His workshops are practical, relevant and immediately useful to participants involved.

Andrew is a member of the United Nations Panel of Global Mediators, specializing in China cases and was appointed a World Bank mediator for Asia in 2011.

Andrew is experienced in working with online platforms and across multiple time zones.

Andrew holds first class honors degrees in Law from the University of Sydney and in Psychology from the University of Adelaide. He has a Masters in Chinese Law from Peking University and a Certificate in International Law from the Hague Academy of International Law.  He is a Fellow of Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation and Stanford Law School’s Gould Center for Conflict Resolution. Andrew speaks English and Mandarin.

Dispute Resolution Experience

Jessica Notini is a senior negotiation trainer with MWI. For more than 25 years, Jessica has provided hundreds of negotiation, mediation, conflict resolution, facilitation and related workshops for both private entities and public institutions throughout the United Stated, Latin America and Europe. Some of her corporate clients have included Google, Twitter, Salesforce, Genentech, Novartis, Dell, KPMG, Microsoft, Bio-Rad, ViaSystems, Amgen, Cognizant, Monsanto and Gilead. She also teaches as an adjunct at Stanford, Berkeley, UCHastings and UCDavis law schools. Jessica is highly regarded for her dynamic approach and ability to engage participants with humor, depth of insight and practical applications and experience.

Jessica has honed her skills as a mediator who practices in the areas of employment and probate & estate and understands how to navigate both the transactional elements of a negotiation as well as the emotional undercurrents and human relationships. She is also a leader in the field of alternative dispute resolution. In 2012, she received the Don Weckstein Memorial award from the California Dispute Resolution Council in recognition of her leadership in California. She served for three years as President of the Association for Dispute Resolution of Northern California (formerly NCMA), she was Chair of the California State Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and she served on the Board of Directors for the Mediation Society of San Francisco and the Contra Costa and Alameda Bar Association ADR Executive Committees.

Dispute Resolution Experience

Rob Wilkinson is a negotiation trainer who helps organizations deal with negotiation, leadership and management challenges. He is on the faculty at both the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Rob also served as a Special Advisor on Negotiation at the Massachusetts Institute for Technology (MIT).

Rob teaches negotiation and management at the graduate level, and is a multiple nominee for the Paddock Award in Teaching Excellence. Rob has successfully supported numerous Fortune 500 companies, major government agencies, and international organizations, helping them to improve their negotiation skills and to increase their effectiveness.

He has over 20 years of experience in more than 35 countries, with the private, public and non-profit sectors. Clients include Chevron, General Mills, McDonald’s, IBM, Fidelity, MITRE, Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Philips, The US Postal Service, The World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), United Nations, National Urban League, World Wildlife Fund, Red Cross, US Office of Personnel Management (OPM), and the White House. Previously, Rob held a number of management positions with the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations, Oxfam and the Department for International Development (DFID). He has worked extensively in the US, Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.

Michelle Joy Wecksler offers over twenty years of experience as a global trainer and consultant in the fields of negotiation, conflict management, mediation, alternative dispute resolution, and interpersonal communication. She has worked with a variety of clients including Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc., the United States Air Force, the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), the US Environmental Protection Agency, US Department of Agriculture, Deloitte, VF Corp, IBM, Starbucks, McDonald’s, MedImmune and Thomson Reuters. Ms. Wecksler also served as the Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group Leader in the Legal Management Services Group for Ernst & Young, LLP where she assisted corporations in the design and implementation of strategic legal management initiatives, with a special focus on conflict management. In addition to her work as a trainer and consultant, Ms. Wecksler has mediated over 1,000 cases including business, commercial and employment disputes. Ms. Wecksler is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

Dispute Resolution Experience

Ben Stich is a family and divorce mediator with MWI. He mediates conflicts of all kinds, specializing in family disputes. He mediates divorce, co-parenting conflict, and marital issues. Ben also mediates all types of family disputes such as conflict between parents and their adult children; adult siblings; and parents and their teenage children. Ben also helps families improve their co-parenting as an instructor for the state’s only High Conflict Parent Education program at William James College.

In addition to mediating, Ben is certified in the Think:Kids Collaborate Problem Solving© model and works with Think:Kids at MGH’s Department of Psychiatry to help families, educators, and clinicians work effectively with children and teens who exhibit challenging behaviors .

Ben is a licensed independent clinical social worker and an active member of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation and the Massachusetts’ chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.

Dispute Resolution Experience

Nnena Odim is a mediator, ombuds, attorney, trainer, and consultant. She has been mediating since 1997, and has mediated disputes involving issues such as employment, housing, business, consumer, academic/higher education, and the full range of family/domestic relations (divorce, unmarried parents, elder care, adoption, etc.). Nnena has also designed and/or led conflict management trainings for several local and national businesses and agencies, including the Boston Public Schools, Massachusetts Housing Authority, Neighborhood Works, Coca-Cola, and Netflix. In addition to her mediation and conflict resolution training background, Nnena is trained by the International Ombuds Association and has served as an ombuds for CVS, American Planning Association, and several local construction companies. After 25 years, Nnena has recently retired from Harvard Law School, where she was the Director and Senior Clinical Instructor of the Family/Domestic Violence Law Clinic at Harvard’s Legal Services Center. In addition to being an active practicing attorney in Massachusetts Family and Probate Courts, she provided experiential training to law students and taught them how to become effective and ethical attorneys.

Nnena has worked with the Harvard Mediation Program (HMP) and Harvard Program on Negotiation to provide trainings for students and community members, and to supervise Harvard Law School students in their mediation and negotiation studies. She served as a faculty and coach of mediation skills for trainings at Suffolk and Boston College Law Schools, MIT, and New England School of Law. Nnena has also served on numerous panels and speaking rosters for a variety of topics, including those on self-care and mental health for students and faculty, establishing boundaries in a professional setting, race and gender, and LGBTQ+ rights.

Nnena is a member of the HMP Advisory Board. In 2019, Nnena was honored by the Harvard Women’s Law Association International Committee. In 2015, she received the Harvard Law School Dean’s Award for Excellence, and in 2013, Nnena was a Top Women in the Law award recipient from Mass. Lawyers Weekly.

Josh Hoch is an ombuds, mediator, and instructor and is the Director of Ombuds & Mediation Services at MWI. As Director of Ombuds & Mediation Services, Josh manages MWI’s Outsourced Ombuds Panel and has worked as an outsourced organizational ombuds for clients including CVS Health and John Moriarty & Associates. He works with companies interested in starting an ombuds program or hiring conference ombuds. Josh also travels to MWI’s ombuds client sites to meet with senior leadership to educate employees about the role of the ombuds and how to access ombuds. Josh has been an active mediator since 2001 for various case types, including workplace and employment cases, and is a mediation trainer who leads advanced mediation training programs for clients, including the Executive Office of the Massachusetts Trial Court and Community Mediation Programs. Josh is a member of the International Ombuds Association (IOA).

Diana Chiang is a Mediator and Manager of Commercial & Corporate Programs at Mediation Works, Inc. (MWI). As a mediator, Ms. Chiang has mediated a variety of cases in Massachusetts District, Municipal, and Probate & Family Courts, harassment prevention orders, corporate & workplace, and housing/eviction cases.

Diana is also a member of MWI’s training faculty and leads corporate and academic ADR training programs. Diana has a certification in Applied Positive Psychology and is an accredited ACTP Coach through The Flourishing Center and also serves on the Board of Directors of the New England Association for Conflict Resolution.

She earned a B.A. in Sociology & Justice Studies from the University of New Hampshire and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. Diana was an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Hampshire, before teaching negotiation at Suffolk University Law School.

Alnoor Maherali is a highly skilled diplomat, dispute resolution specialist, ombuds, and certified mediator. He resides in New York City and mediates for MWI, Venn Mediation, the New York Peace Institute (NYPI) and New York Small Claims Court. He also serves as a mediation coach for NYPI and MWI and as a mediation and negotiation trainer for MWI. His professional accomplishments include the negotiation of resolutions at the United Nations in Geneva and New York, sharing of best practices in disaster response and civil-military coordination with the Government of Brazil, and important roles in the resolution of two high-profile kidnapping cases in Afghanistan. Dispute Resolution Experience

Robin DiGiammarino brings her experience in local government, health care and small business to her work in the field of conflict management. She has worked with MWI since 2003 serving as a mediator, trainer, facilitator and mentor. A proponent of life long learning, Robin served as a public official on a local school board, providing stewardship for a public education system serving over six thousand students. Robin holds a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and she incorporates her expertise working with clients and her supervisory experience in clinical settings into her work as a coach, trainer and mentor. Since 2007, Robin has provided supervision and coaching to new mediators in the MWI Mentor Program. Robin enjoys mentoring adult learners providing opportunities for mentees to sharpen their mediation skills and reinforce good habits.

Victoria Bennet is a mediator, trainer, facilitator and consultant, providing services throughout New England since 2003.
